DLF Foundation Bags the Golden Peacock Award 2015

DLF Foundation was bestowed with Golden Peacock Award 2015 at the 10th International Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) held in Mumbai on 5th February, 2016. Honble Minister of Rural Development and Women & Child Development, Government of Maharashtra, Ms. Pankaja Gopinathrao Munde presented the award. The Former Chief Justice of India- Justice M N Venkatachaliah was one of the chief juries on the award panel.

DLF Foundation was awarded with Golden Peacock for its CSR responsibilities including Skill-a Million, Village Cluster Development programme, Talent Programme, Swacch Haryana Programme and Urban Underprivileged Programme.

The event was attended by over 300 guests including senior government officials, industry stalwarts, bureaucrats, media houses and the civil society.

Lt. Gen. Rajender Singh said on the theme of Making CSR Work for Business, CSR should not be just an add-on or charity driven initiative. It needs to be built on a fundamental assumption that businesses must play an indispensable role alongside government, civil society and communities to solve complex national development challenges. Corporations need to believe in creating value for the underprivileged sections of the society, to enable them to lead a life with dignity.

Started in 1991 by the Institute of Directors, India, Golden Peacock award is now considered to be one of the criterions of corporate excellence in the whole world. Every year, over 1,000 entries from over 25 countries worldwide are submitted to the Golden Peacock Awards Secretariat.

Justice P N Bhagwati, former Chief Justice of India, is the Chairman Emeritus. Justice (Dr.) Arijit Pasayat, former Judge Supreme Court of India and former Chairman of Competition Appellate Tribunal & Authority for Advance Ruling is the Chairman of the Golden Peacock Awards Secretariat. Every year, over a 1,000 entries from over 25 countries worldwide, are submitted to the Golden Peacock Awards Secretariat.

DLF Foundation offered its major and most successful initiatives, Swachh Haryana Abhiyan, the Integrated Nurturing Talent Programme, Urban Underprivileged Programme, Skill Development Programme and the Village Cluster Development Programme on two days of international conference.
