The Saint Louis Chamber Chorus (SLCC) in Missouri will offer ?invocations to Hindu gods? by John Schlenck in current 60th jubilee season on April 10 in its ?All Manner of Gods? concert in University City.

Choirs had celebrated various faiths over the centuries, distinguished Hindu statesman Rajan Zed said, and urged world?s choirs of excellence to celebrate Hinduism also, the oldest and third largest religion of the world offering a rich philosophical thought.

Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, pointed out that music had a long and great tradition in Hinduism, and the elements of musical theory were first found in ancient Sama-Veda.

Rajan Zed thanked SLCC for coming up with Hindu invocations theme and hoped that it would delve deeper into Hinduism in the future and come up with more Hindu compositions.

Claimed to be ?Midwest?s premier a cappella ensemble?, SLCC states to be ?committed to presenting the finest a cappella choral works? ?in St. Louis?s finest public buildings?. Philip Barnes, Linda Ryder and Dick Brickson are Artistic Director, Executive Director and Board President respectively.
