Hindus have strongly criticized Denmark?s proposal backed by its parliament to confiscate refugees? possessions; calling it inhumane, despicable and absurd.
Distinguished Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, said that impoverished refugees and displaced deserved compassion and welcome and not confiscation. Denmark was sending a bluntly negative and worrisome message to the world.
Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, urged Folkekirken? The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Denmark and the Copenhagen Bishop Peter Skov-Jakobsen to strongly denounce this confiscation law as the Folkekirken beliefs included sharing love with others, ?strong helping the weak? and ?God created us in his image?.
What wealthy Denmark wanted to gain by seizing assets from vulnerable and poor refugees? Rajan Zed asked.
