Roti Banks- A Social Effort to Provide Food to the Poor People

Roti Banks- An idea of four friends to feed poor and needy peoples of the Aurangabad has just spread like a virus. They started collecting left-over and excess food from the various parties and functions across the city. With the collected food they started feeding the beggars and other poor people of the city. This initiative started trending rapidly on various social networks in a very less span of time. Many people took inspiration from the Aurangabad guys and several Roti bank become operational in various regions of our country.
Some exceptional work has been done in this regard by the dabbawalas of Mumbai; they started asking people to give a few extra rotis in lunch and with the help of that food they started feeding poor people of the Mumbai metropolitan. Roti Bank is a place where you cannot find any kind of discrimination on any basis. People irrespective of their caste, creed or color of their skin dine together with harmony. They correctly demonstrate the unity of India.
Some non-profit organizations of Hazaribagh have started a similar Roti Bank in Hazaribagh under the clouds of the fatalism (naxalites). Here they provide food to the poor people without having any kind of fear from these naxalites. In one way, the Roti Bank has also acted as a medium to make people come together and fight against such problems.
But as we say, that good things shall only spread more and more. Similarly, there is an alarming need to start several new Roti-Banks on a similar format in every region of very city of India. This initiative can definitely help us fight against the problems of mal-nutrition and starvation in our country. Hopefully, it can help us to achieve a stage every person of India can have a proper meal every day.
