Maple Bear is a range of global pre schools founded with the principle of bringing the Canadian Maple Bear Education System to all corners of the globe. In India, the venture is a joint one between Maple Bear Global Schools Ltd, Canada and Modi Edutech with 57 schools already established and gradually expanding. In cooperation with the Modi Group it shares the founder Mr. Rai Bahadur Gujarmal Modi?s vision of significant education and development. Maple Bear offers various levels of Play school education, from Toddlers, to Nursery or Junior Kindergarten and Senior Kindergarten along with Day Care Services. Keeping this in mind, it has now extended its reach to Kathmandu, Nepal so as to keep up its aim of providing quality play school education and care across the world.

Maple Bear follows a holistic methodological system to provide the best possible care and education to children, keeping in mind the importance of the play school experience as foundational for future learning and development. Maple Bear makes learning a stimulating and enjoyable experience wherein a positive attitude is inculcated in a healthy and cooperative environment. Teachers to provide integrated knowledge and competence in reading, writing, language, mathematics, science etc. use a number of active techniques which are carefully chosen to suit the various developmental stages that children go through.

Along with this, a lot of significance is given to the activity of ?playing? so as to allow the child to discover him or herself in a given environment. This augments their imagination and creativity and teaches how to interact in social settings. Further, this ensures the formation of various skills like resolving conflicts, thinking of solutions etc., which come in handy later in life.

The curriculum that Maple Bear follows has been designed by experts in the field and focuses on the creative aspect along with the honing of other basic skills. With a particular aim towards literacy and inculcation of the English language along with other languages, it starts with this training at the onset so that the children are gradually eased into fluent communication and excellent writing abilities. Thus, by the end of it children are able to read basic texts, with a phonic approach and are able to converse fluently in the language.

Children are initiated into mathematics through interactive activities like graphs, 3D objects, comparisons etc. so as to ensure that they solve problems analytically and easily. A similar method is used to teach about science, technology and the natural world. Special impetus is given towards the enhancement of creative faculties in the form of art, dance, drama etc. Along with this, the child is taught the values of respect and tolerance for others while being allowed to explore his or her own individuality.
