With over 3.3 Mn subscribers, the telco currently has a Customer market share (CMS) of 5.2% in the circle, and growing. The Telco will be delivering EBITDA positive in the circle by end of current financial year, which would be one of the fastest EBITDA positive in Telecom i.e. within 3 years.

The telco which recently sold its spectrum in Gujarat & UPW circles for Rs 3310 Cr plans to invest a part of the proceeds in MPCG circle. By end of next financial year, the telco plans to invest Rs 165 Cr in the circle on Network expansion and up-gradation incl building data capacity and Business Development.

The telco which currently has a coverage footprint with 4389 BTS in the circle, plans to deploy 900 more BTS from the pool of 2000 BTS of Gujarat and UPW circles, and expand its coverage across 424 new towns and villages in the circle.

As per the telco, there is ample and more space for Regional players in the market. For approx 95% of the customer, 95% of their usage happens in the Home Network, and it doesnt make any difference to the customer whether or not their Service provider is a PAN India player. We anyways provide PAN India Roaming thru other partner operators, the telco added.

Further, Videocon Telecom which has 5Mhz of liberalized and contiguous in 1800 Mhz band, which is considered to be the best for 4G services, is in active discussion with other telco(s) to provide 4G data services in the circle thru spectrum sharing.
