Meribel Unplugged has announced a new concept for [ski transfers from Geneva, Lyon, Grenoble and Chambery](http://www.meribel-unplugged.co.uk/transfers) airports. It has created a free sharing service for all skiers travelling to the Meribel and Courchevel valleys this coming ski season. Individuals and small groups can now post their full transfer details on their web site, inviting others to share with them. This new service, enables people to easily group together for their onward journey to resort. By finding like-minded skiers for transfer sharing all involved should save a great deal of money. Dave Edwards, a regular single traveller to Meribel was quoted as saying that this new service could literally save him 100's of pounds on each trip.

Meribel is about 2 or 3 hours by road from most regional airports. As a result private transfers are very expensive from all of them. Public transport provides only a basic service to Meribel & the 3 Valleys, mainly at weekends.

This new airport transfer sharing service aims to provide the perfect solution. It should now allow singles, couples and small groups the ability to afford the luxury of a private transfer. However, it aims not only to bring people together, so saving money, but to also to involve local companies.

Meribel Unplugged has launched this long-awaited sharing service to cover the 3 Valleys area in the French Alps. Many local transfer companies are fully co-operating and extremely excited about this new scheme

For private transfers, local operators are also invited to quote the best price for a particular journey. Meribel Unplugged does seem have come up with a way to get the very best value transfers for British visitors to Meribel. Although reducing costs is the primary aim, Meribel Unplugged says that it is also of the opinion that by sharing transfers, skiers should also greatly reduce their carbon footprint.
