Rising trend among corporations to opt for process optimization and operational excellence techniques.

October 9, 2015: QAI Global Institute has reported that mid to large size corporations in the US are more interested than ever before to integrate process optimization and operational excellence techniques into their business processes.

This trend was observed in a survey that was recently conducted among the corporations located in the state of Virginia (VA). The corporations covered in the survey included manufacturing enterprises across chemical, engineering, mining, paper & board, automotive and printing industries.

Announcing the survey results to the Press, Mr. Navyug Mohnot, the CEO of QAI Global Institute said "The biggest concern of the corporations was to determine whether they had the appropriate systems and processes in place to enable them meet the challenges of the next century. As technology is getting more disruptive and more encompassing, chances are that businesses that are not technology driven will soon bite the dust.?

As per the CEO, ?A few corporations were concerned by the fact that their organizations had as yet not been audited by an external agency for compliance to Federal laws related to pollution and emission of effluents and therefore these corporations were enquiring about when an audit could be carried out.

The CEO further said "Assessment and appraisal for ISO standards are fairly comprehensive and organizations interested in implementing such a Quality Management System (QMS) system in their workplace need to go through a process of audit and certification that is carried out over defined stages of audit usually spread over a few months. Based on the size of an organization and the industry in which it operates we are able to suggest the appropriate QMS that meets the requirements of our customers. For manufacturing concerns it is mostly the ISO system whereas for IT companies it is mostly the CMMi certification.?

As per industry review, most IT organizations have CMMi level 3 certification. A few organizations that have been able to improve their operational processes have CMMi level 4 certification and some organizations that have very well defined procedures and processes have CMMi level 5 certification. CMMi level 5 is the top certification and signifies that the organization functions at optimized levels of operational excellence.
