UK Government Announces New Penalties for Illegal Employment

After the latest crackdowns by the UK Government, the Immigration Minister has now suddenly announced strict punishments for people working in the UK illegally. As per reports, a new Immigration Bill has been introduced in relation to immigration which is quite strict in a number of aspects. Giving details, higher officials cleared that anyone who is prosecuted for "Illegal Working" will be facing a sentence of up to six months in prison.

This may even include an unlimited fine or both in case the charges are serious and are repeated by the same individual. This new bill is expected to be introduced and implemented this autumn season. This will certainly deter people from travelling to the UK in order to obtain illegal employment and look for better work opportunities. The UK government is believed to bring details of the bill in public domain owing to the Calais crisis. Issuing a statement, James Brokenshire, UK Immigration Minister stated, "If you are here illegally, we will take action to stop you from working, renting a flat, opening a bank account or even driving a car".

This is soon to be followed by notoriously strict measures that have been put in place in various other areas of the world. No matter, even after introduction of such strict rules and regulations, the total number of people who overstayed their visa in the kingdom is believed to be over 300,000, with no clear indication of their location and work details.
