After putting out his vision of digitalization of the nation at the Digital India launch on July 1, Anil Ambani-the Chairman of the Reliance Group-has now launched into action as group subsidiary, Reliance Communications takes its flagship content and cloud delivery model, Cloud Xchange to Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
Hailed as the next big thing in infrastructure provisioning, Cloud X promises to be a game changer for network enterprises and government establishments as they will now be able to run multi-tiered apps directly on their network. Cloud X also brings the turnaround time down from a few months to just a few minutes and pushes enterprise apps on to the cloud by scaling up network transparency and cloud orchestration.
"Cloud X is changing the paradigm of cloud computing. The network must now undergo a profound transformation, from a static entity to a dynamic, intelligent, applicationaware fabric that can support multiple traffic requirements, diverse geographies and flexible pricing models," RCom (Enterprise) and Global Cloud Xchange CEO Bill Barney told in a statement.
Ambani had also pledged pumping Rs 10,000 crore into digital cloud and telecom space expansion and over the past one year, RCom along with partner Global Cloud Xchange, has worked towards building a whole new cloud networking infrastructure that includes self- provisioning of network resources and bandwidth-on-demand.
With 11 high powered data centers built on the nation?s largest framework of terrestrial fiber network and the world?s largest network of submarine sub-sea cable, Reliance Group?s over 600,000 square feet of built-up infrastructure is the largest across the country and pioneers India?s digitalization.
Taking Cloud computing to a whole new level in India, Cloud X benchmarks cloud storage access for private enterprises and government establishments who can now access over 240 times of their current compute storage and over six times the present high-speed storage.
The Cloud X framework will be further optimized all along to expand its traffic bandwidth and introduce more viable pricing models that would enable clients leverage their Cloud spends better.
