July 27 2015: The campaign was launched to generate awareness among users of the Mobilegeddon update introduced by Google that gives preference to mobile sites that are responsive.
Talking to the Press, the CEO of TechIndia Software said "there are numerous businesses that still do not have a fully functional mobile site and as a result they face the risk that their site will not be crawled by the Google Mobile Bot. As a result their site will not be indexed and will not appear high on search engine rankings. Moreover, since the site is not responsive users will not be able to see the website on mobile devices and will miss critical information stated on the website.
The Mobilegeddon updated was introduced by Google on 21st April 2015 simultaneously in all languages and across all regions.
The CEO further said "as soon as our campaign was launched we started receiving enquiries from business owners who wanted to make their websites mobile friendly. As part of our strategy we first did an audit to check whether the website was mobile friendly or not. For this we conducted the Mobile Friendly Test. After this we generated a Mobile Usability Report that gives a report on how the website appears as Google sees it. Both tests were done as per Google Webmaster guidelines and based on these tests our technical team fixed the bugs and issues that were appearing on the websites. With our efforts the sites are now responsive and mobile friendly and our clients are happy with our work?
