JCR Design Group Wins an ASID 2015 Design Excellence Award

JCR Design Group was honored to receive first place in the "Special Focus" category of ASID's 2015 Design Excellence Awards. The Special Focus category was comprised of various projects including both unique indoor and outdoor spaces. The judges for this contest were well known Designers & Architects from out of state. This year's contest winners were announced at a special event at the newly remodeled Union Station downtown.

These clients dreamed of a backyard they could use for both daily relaxation and entertaining large crowds, and this was achieved through a design partnership with Green Guys. A three season screened -in porch was built, in addition to a new and enlarged patio. JCR Design Group provided all outdoor furniture for the covered porch and patio, and also assisted with all design and material sections such as the custom iron railing. Careful thought was given to each finish specified. High-quality outdoor fabrics were selected for the furniture with the intent of providing years of enjoyment. A custom outdoor dining table comprised of an iron base and granite top coordinated with the granite and stone grilling station. The final result was an outdoor retreat that will provide a nearly year round reprieve from the client?s busy daily lives.
