In order to pay unique reverence to Nobel Prize winner American physicist Richard Phillips Feynman on his 100th birthday year, Schools of Computer Sciences, Engineering and Applications organized 4th International Conference on Computing Sciences ?FEYNMAN-100? at Lovely Professional University (LPU) Campus. During the conference, keynote addresses & special talks were made by Prof Richard Hill (Head, Department for Computer Science Huddersfield University, UK); Prof Valentina E. Balas (Faculty of Engineering Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad, Romania); Prof Marius Balas (Senior member of IEEE, Romania University); and, Associate Vice- President Deepak Dahuja (Hughes Systique Corporation).

All Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Machine Learning? (ML) giants gathered at the conference suggested unanimously that- ?We all are heading towards an era of machines & humans working together more closely than ever?. As Chief Guest of the Conference, LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal also alerted all: ?Stay prepared to face the changing technologies like fashions every moment?. Appreciating Punjabi culture and hospitality, Prof Valentina of Romania suggested: ?Create a new type of computer that can proactively interpret and learn from data solving unfamiliar problems using what it has learned. And, it is to be operated with the efficiency of the human brain.? She touched the topic on ?advanced research directions in bio-inspired architecture for nanotechnology?. Prof Richard Hill from the UK preferred to interact on ?making sense of data: visualizing the Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT)?. He spoke about ?skills demand, now and the immediate future?. Inspiring tomorrow?s professionals, he said: ?Learn from historical data, understand data in current context and then predict & forecast. Moreover, if we share data, we could learn more from each other. I feel, underlying mathematics is common to most domains? problems.?

Mr Dahuja apprised all about more and more research and development in all areas with prior focus on related customer satisfaction. He also informed various ongoing challenges including effective co-ordination, accuracy, too much IoT devices and apps and more. Prior to this, welcoming all at the conference, LPU Executive Dean Dr Lovi Raj Gupta briefed about the objective of the conference and advised students to seek and learn what great brains globe around are doing. He also alerted all not to be slaves of the machines and asked to opt for technology de-addiction. Head Computer Departments & Associate Prof Dr Rajeev Sobti thanked all international, national participants and students to be at the conference.

In fact, LPU has already dedicated its three previous conferences on computing sciences chronologically to Mr Alan Turing as ?Turing100?; Mr Maurice Wilkes as ?Wilkies100?; Mr Claude E Shannon? as ?Shannon 100?; and, now the 4th one to Richard Phillips Feynman as ?Fenyman 100? for his contributions to the development of quantum electrodynamics. More than 100 research papers from across the world were also selected to be presented and published with Scopus Index and IEEE-CPS. Of these 8 papers were declared outstanding for receiving ?Best Paper? Award of the Conference.
