Akhilesh Srivastava to Attend 4th Annual Roads and Highways Meet in Singapore

The 4th annual Roads and Highways Meet is going to take place from 9th -11th April, 2018 at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel, Singapore. The event is jointly organized by Marcus Evans and International Road Federation (IRF), Geneva, Switzerland. This event is going to witness presentations, dialogues, and speeches from experts. Mr Akhilesh Srivastava, CGM (IT and Highway operations) of NHAI, is scheduled to participate in this meet.

The main agenda of this event is to discuss solutions and proposals for redefining roadways in the wake of congestion. This discussion-packed event will create a room for governments and stakeholders to churn out solutions to the contemporary problems and throw some light on some of the proven sustainable practices. Ranging from funding to future developments and Project design to project development, many aspects pertaining to roadways will be discussed in this event.

Many global professionals and representatives of various government bodies are expected to participate in this event and share their best ideas to solve some of the common problems. Mr Akhilesh Srivastava, who has been involved in the major developmental works undertaken by the National Highways Authority of India, is going to deliver a key session on One Belt One Road (OBOR) project and Modernisation of National Highways in India.

Mr Srivastava is going to vent his thoughts which are driven by his experience working on projects like FASTag and Wayside Amenities. As he is known as a Tech-savvy officer, his solutions might be helpful and relevant for the countries undergoing development in their roadways. He will be delivering his session on the inauguration day itself.

The Highway operations division of the NHAI, which is headed by Mr Akhilesh Srivastava, has been implementing FASTag project across the Highway Network of India. FASTag also referred as Electronic Toll Collection (ETC), is changing the traffic dynamics on national highways in India. FASTag, which is a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tag, enables Highways? commuters to enjoy a seamless travel experience without halting at Toll Plazas. This is really helping truckers and traders to conduct their business in an efficient way.
With this system in place, the ease of doing businesses is increased further.

Mr Srivastava has been instrumental in the implementation of ongoing Wayside Amenities project. This project is aimed at serving multiple objectives like to provide a room for Highway commuters to refresh and rejuvenate and to provide employment opportunities to millions of people. Through this project, the Highways of India is going to get revamped.

As Mr Srivastava is directly involved in these projects, his experiences can deliver note-worthy points to attendees.
