New Delhi, March 12, 2018: With a vision to empower women and encourage a competitive entrepreneurial ecosystem in India, ShopClues has joined hands with Niti Aayog’s ‘Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP)’ which was launched on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
NITI Aayog has launched the WEP which will act as a point of dissemination of information about existing government schemes, programmes and various other initiatives in the private sector to promote women entrepreneurship.
The platform aspires to substantially increase the number of women entrepreneurs who will create and empower a dynamic new India. WEP will provide opportunities to women to realize their entrepreneurial aspirations.
For this programme, Radhika Ghai, Co-Founder of ShopClues and an inspiration to many young entrepreneurs along with her team, will be seen mentoring and impart skilling to 12 young women entrepreneurs for over a course of 1 year.
Speaking on the association, Radhika Ghai, Co-Founder and CBO, ShopClues, said, “I am happy to be associated with Niti Aayog and honoured to collaborate with them for the Women Entrepreneurs Programme. I now see it as my responsibility to foster young talent and set a good example of reaching for excellence and skills in entrepreneurship. Radhika has been an accomplished speaker and is a recipient of the Ministry of Women & Child Development's 'First Ladies' Award for being the first lady in E-commerce to lead a Unicorn company.
