STEM is curriculum based and is premised on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines — Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. Rather than teach the four disciplines as separate and discrete subjects, STEM integrates them into a cohesive learning paradigm based on real-world. This education eliminates the boring lecture methods and practices ‘Hands-on Activities’ along with project-based learning. STEM has been the pet project of Mr Barak Obama, former President, USA and is widely used in USA and several other countries.
STEM World School is the first STEM school in West Bengal in collaboration with the STEM Academy of USA. The school follows a STEM based curriculum and a progressive child-centered education pattern. STEM World School has been awarded as the BEST Innovative Emerging International School in West Bengal by worldwide achievers in Asia Education Summit and Awards 2017. The school conducts various extracurricular activities like dance & music, art & craft, creative writing, elocution, extempore, quiz, badminton, basketball, cricket, horse riding, table tennis, yoga and meditation for the all-round development of the students.
