New Delhi: 01 February 2019: India's largest intimate wear trade show Intimasia’s third edition concluded at very high note in the nation’s capital Delhi. Brands from across India and some international brands participated in the show. There were 100+ brands like Pepe jeans, United Colors of Benetton, woodland, bodycare creations, groversons, mustang socks, lux, dollar, dixy and many more. INTIMASIA targeted retailers from entire northern region but was lucky to have visitors from across India including 300 Top retailers of Intimate Apparel Sector.
Other highlight of the show was the inner secrets excellence awards for Delhi and NCR Region where 32 deserving retailers were awarded in appreciation for their hard work. There were 25 award categories from Most Admired retailer to Promising Retailer to Lifetime Achievement award. The show had over 7000+ visitors in just 2 days with a business 300 crore plus
Intimasia also held lucky draw for retailers which had prizes of worth 50,000 these were Led TV, Tablets and Mobiles. There were seminars held on Retailing by Vimmi Sood (Retail Consultant with over 30 years of experience)
It was so far the largest edition of Intimasia and we look forward to Hyderabad in July.
Mr. Yusuf Dohadwala, Chief Organiser; CEO for Intimate Apparel Association of India said, India’s largest intimate apparel show Intimasia ended on a very positive note. The show set a milestone in in the intimate apparel industry with the largest gathering of brands and retailers under one roof. The Two days show saw more than 100 brands and 7000 retailers visiting from the northern region.
The estimated business turnaround at the show would've been over Rated 200-250 crores and this show also set the tone for revolution in the intimate apparel industry in line with more premium brands looking at the intimate apparel sector as a more promising sector and with products becoming more and more fashion oriented. For the show we would say that it did meet all the expectations of our exhibiting brands and going forward this show would be catalyst in accelerating the growth of the intimate apparel segment in India said Mr. Dohadwala.
Intimate Apparel Association of India (IAAI), founded on 30th May 2010, is the apex body, striving to bring success and development to the intimate apparel industry of India. IAAI’s vision is to: “To promote, advance, expand and develop Indian intimate apparel industry such that it may soon be a force to reckon with not only in Indian markets, but also globally.”
Since its inception, the association has grown rapidly, gaining momentum over the years and as a result, propelling the industry to greater heights. In a span of four years, IAAI has developed a membership base of 1000+ brands; manufacturers and 10000+ retailer and distribution partners.
