Situated at the base of the Himalaya Mountains in the plains of Darjeeling District by the side of River Mahananda, Siliguri will be hosting its first Everest International Film Festival in August 2019. Promoted and organized by Filmy Sansaar and Eon Films with the support of various Film Forums, the Everest International Film Festival (EIFF) is founded to showcase the beauty of the Himalayan Range, encompassed by Tea Gardens and its prominent role in contemporary film shootings, and aims to exhibit the most captivating and innovative content.
With an aim to become an internationally-recognized festival that provides a space for filmmakers to believe in their content without worrying about the commercial exploits, the Everest International Film Festival remains committed to its mission to discover and develop independent artists and audiences across the globe. Through its programs, the festival seeks to discover, support, and inspire independent filmmakers across India as well around the globe, and to introduce audiences to their new work.
