The wines presented were Donnafugata Sedara and Anthilia, which are perfect icons of wines from Sicily and Donnafugata as a brand, also revolutionized the style and the perception of Sicilian wine in the world.

Having amassed 160 years? worth of experience over 5 generations, Donnafugata wines are a passionate exploration of Sicily?s sensorial universe. The name Donnafugata means ?woman in flight? and refers to Queen Maria Carolina of Bourbon, who in the early 1800s, sought refuge in Sicily, where Donnafugata vineyards stand today.

Elena Bortoletto, a Sicilian sommelieroffered the guests a historic and enthralling experience of Donnafugata?s wines. She took them through the exciting journey of the brand by presenting the brand?s history, the process of making wines, details on their best wines and much more. The drinks were paired with specially curated appetisers by the talented Chef Rishim Sachdeva.
