Nontraditional students frequently struggle to find their footing in higher education. These students often turn to online degree programs that allow them to continue with work and family obligations while pursuing their degree. California Baptist University is proud to provide these students with online degree programs that meet their needs to balance their commitments while continuing their education. In fact, in a 2018 report released by collegefactual.com places CBU squarely in the top 7.3 percent of accredited universities serving this demographic.

Nontraditional students are defined as follows:

1* Students who are working part-time or full-time jobs

2* Students transferring from another university

3* Adults over 25 attending college for the first time or returning to complete a degree.

4* Students returning to school after an absence

5* Students returning after attaining an undergraduate degree for postgraduate advancement to a masters or doctoral degree

6* Students with dependents that include children, elderly parents, or a spouse

7* Part-time students who are taking less than one half of a typical course load for a traditional student.

California Baptist University is honored to add this recent accolade to a long list of nationally recognized honors and rankings. We welcome traditional and nontraditional students alike with 40 online degree programs designed for the nontraditional student looking to either start a new career or to advance in their current one. Fully online programs allow nontraditional students to complete coursework from an accredited university and attain their bachelors, masters, or doctoral degree in their chosen field.

Courses begin on a rotating basis every eight weeks to offer maximum flexibility.
