Beach Art Glass achieve international success at trade fairs

Julie Fountain, the founder of Beach Art Glass and sister Becky Bristow, the Business Development Manager will be extremely busy fulfilling their orders after two very successful spring trade fairs in London and Birmingham. With her show stopping range of lampwork jewellery Julie has acquired new trade accounts across the world, including Australia, New Zealand, America, Ireland and Japan, as well as building on, and adding to, her existing trade base across the UK.
Buyers from across the world gathered at the Jewellery and Watch Fair at the NEC in Birmingham and at Top Drawer in London to examine the latest offerings from British designers. Beach Art Glass was exceptionally well received with buyers looking for collectable collections. Beach Art Glass ensure that all ranges for the trade are easy to display and come with beautiful branded gift boxes or pouches. ?Everyone is so enthusiastic about our products? said Becky Bristow reporting back from the NEC ?most of our existing customers are placing larger orders this year and we?re excited about all the new exporting opportunities?.
Julie Fountain designs and finishes all her pieces of unique lampwork jewellery from her Malvern base in the West Midlands. The process of lampwork is highly skilled, and Julie is one of the experts in the process in the UK. The lampwork beads are created one at a time by melting and shaping rods of Italian glass in a flame, and slowly kiln-cooled for durability. The resulting shapes are then mounted on silver and hallmarked in the UK. The entire range is inspired by the sea and comes in four beautiful colourways- Sand & Sea is the original design, accented with a touch of bright coral, the glossy Deep Blue Sea and the softer, more subtle colours of palest blue Sea Spray and lavender Sea Mist. The new collection for 2018, Beach Babe, completes the product range, with finer sized pendants in three shapes across all four colourways.
The uniqueness, and collectability of the product collection has been a major attraction to foreign buyers, who are tasked with finding items that will stand out in large department stores, as well as encouraging repeat customers. About Beach Art Glass
Julie Fountain is the award-winning artist behind Beach Art Glass, working from her studio in picturesque Malvern, England, where she has been making and teaching glass beadmaking since 2007. She was first drawn to bead making when she discovered the glass itself, beautiful rods in gleaming jewel colours, just waiting to be melted and combined into new shapes and textures. In 2014 Julie was thrilled to be invited to work with international brand, Trollbeads. She is now a Trollbeads Accredited Lampworker and can be seen demonstrating for the company at events around the UK.
