Social Media Influencer and London based guest speaker Katerina Perez is one of the most popular and inspiring names in the jewelry industry today. She was invited to campus for conducting the Master Class for the Jewellery Department where she highlighted the global trends and insights, client requirements, market research and how the international markets are shaping up after the economic slowdown.
She shared her advice with our budding designers who wish to pursue their career in jewellery blogging/ jewellery journalism and spoke to them about how important social media is for the emerging jewelry brands.
She advised all the budding designers to blog and share about the pieces that truly resonate with who they are, creating their own self-expression, looking out for their own inspiration, creativity and showcasing high quality of work and consistency in what-ever they do!
Katerina was very excited to see the work of the students full of new innovations, great ideas and dreamy inspirations that the students had worked on with subjects such as superheroes/animated movies such as Frozen, and their Egyptian inspiration on After Life.
It was a greatly enlightening and fun experience for all where students gained the very important global exposure that is so necessary for today?s global jewelry scenario.
