Bridgeport, CT - Williams-Sonoma?s Danbury Fair Mall Store (Connecticut) proudly kicks off its 5th annual campaign in support of NO KID HUNGRY, this Friday, August 18th, from 6-10PM, during the Ives Center?s (Danbury) Forever Grateful Festival. We?ll be selling pizza by the slice, prepared on the Breville Crispy Crust Pizza Oven, and raffling one of these fantastic appliances (a $150.00 value). Each raffle ticket will be $1.00. The entire proceeds of pizza sales and the raffle will be donated to NO KID HUNGRY.

Shannon Luszczak, Sonoma?s store manager explains: ?As a company that celebrates and facilitates eating great food, it?s particularly unconscionable to us that too many children go hungry. As citizens of Danbury, our store is keenly aware of the problem in our community. That?s why we?ve been partnered with No Kid Hungry since 2012. Our complete fund raising campaign will run in our store from 8/14-10/2. Throughout the year, we?ll continue to field events to continue to support the cause?we?ll be involved as long as the need remains. Importantly, every penny we raise will directly benefit the local community.?

In 2016 Williams-Sonoma raised $1.5 million dollars across the country, providing over 15 million meals for children in need (Every dollar raised provides up to 10 meals.)

About No Kid Hungry: 1 in 6 children in the US suffers from childhood hunger. About Williams-Sonoma: Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is a multi-channel specialty retailer of high quality products for the home.
In 1956, our founder, Chuck Williams, turned a passion for cooking and eating with friends into a small business with a big idea. He opened a store in Sonoma, California, to sell the French cookware that intrigued him while visiting Europe but that could not be found in America. Chuck's business, which set a standard for customer service, took off and helped fuel a revolution in American cooking and entertaining that continues today.

In the decades that followed, the quality of our products, our ability to identify new opportunities in the market and our people-first approach to business have facilitated our expansion beyond the kitchen into nearly every area of the home. Additionally, by embracing new technologies and customer-engagement strategies as they emerge, we are able to continually refine our best-in-class approach to multi-channel retailing.
Today, Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is one of the United States' largest e-commerce retailers with some of the best known and most beloved brands in home furnishings. We currently operate retail stores in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Australia, and the United Kingdom, and franchise our brands to third parties in a number of countries in the Middle East, the Philippines and Mexico. Our products are also available to customers through our catalogs and online worldwide.
