Delhi is back with multiple avatars of the king of fruits: NMC Mango Festival

July 27th, 2017 New Delhi: National Media Club organized the 9th Mango Festival for the lovers of the ?King of Fruits?. A one-day festival cum exhibition which was held at constitution club of India started with great enthusiasm. Visitors were caught by surprise by seeing over 250 different varieties of mangoes which were displayed during the occasion. Inaugurated by Puroshottam Bhai Rupala Ji, Minister for State, Agriculture, it had participants from different orchards of the country including from Malihabad and Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal?s Malda and Pantnagar in Uttrakhand among others. Mr. Ramesh Awasthi, Founder of National Media Club welcomed the guest personally.
There were 20 Ministers who were seen at the exhibition including Sanjeev Baliyan, Minister Government of India, Giriraj Singh Minister Government of India, Abhijit Sarkar Guardian, Sahara Media. Other than this there were 50 MP?s various MLA?s who were spotted at the event.

India is the largest producer of mangoes in the world with more than eleven hundred varieties of mangoes grown in different parts of the country. The festival gave an opportunity to taste different varieties of mangoes like Neeleshwari,Sikri, Royal SP, Suwarn, Himsagar, Raddy Pasand, Banganpally, Kensington, Dushehari, Langda, Chausa, Malda, Neelam, Papitiyo, Langra, Kesar, Sensation, Nazuk Badab, Fazli, Amrapali, Tommy Atkins and Alphonso etc.

While speaking about the event Mr. Sachin Awasthi- President National Media Club said ?The aim of this event, is to provide exposure to the domestic mango industry in India. Also the festival provides encouragement to all the farmers to grow more healthy varieties of mango?.
There are more than 1,365 mango varieties grown across the globe, and India cultivates around a 1,000 different types of the fruit. India is the largest exporter of mangoes, with an exporting quantity of over 50,000 tonnes. NMC is being doing this event from last 9 years, and it has been a great success.
