RiseSmart Appoints David Chapman as Chief Financial Officer

RiseSmart announced that David Chapman, a finance veteran with over fifteen years of multinational and venture-backed organization experience, has joined the company as its new CFO. Chapman will lead RiseSmart?s finance, accounting, and human resources teams, providing strategic financial planning and guidance as RiseSmart continues to expand its contemporary career transition operations globally.

Prior to joining the RiseSmart team, Chapman served as the vice president of finance at Thomson Reuters, an $11 billion information technology and solutions company. He spent eight years in a variety of executive finance roles supporting SaaS and content businesses across the world, and most recently partnered with the chief technical officer of Thomson Reuter?s $1 billion Global Growth Organization to develop software solutions and professional services for emerging market clients.

Chapman has also served as the vice president of finance at Realtime Worlds, a venture-backed online entertainment company, where he was responsible for managing global financial, accounting, human resources, legal, and real estate operations. Chapman began his career at Ford Motor Company and Verizon Communications, and earned his Master of Business Administration in finance and management from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.
