Vandenberg Furniture Celebrates 80th Anniversary

The Michigan furniture store first opened its doors to the greater Kalamazoo area, including Battle Creek, in 1937. The business became incorporated in 1969 and has been at its current location since 1990.

The furniture store has been operated by members of the Vandenberg family starting when Cal Vandenberg's father opened a store in downtown Kalamazoo in 1937. They still hold to the same principles and values of providing the best quality and selection of furniture in the area. The family-owned business sells high-quality bedroom, dining room and living room furniture. This includes Amish furniture, along with a wide array of styles, materials, and colors from eight upholstery manufacturers.

Always keeping their customers in mind, the store has expanded four times to culminate into a spacious 20,000 square foot facility. Two years ago, the store underwent a major entryway facelift. In addition, the store interior is regularly painted to reflect current trends. The front section of the store was re-carpeted recently to make the store even more inviting and comfortable.

A separate warehouse location has the capacity to store backup furniture for floor stock, layaway items, and special orders awaiting delivery.

In honor of Vandenberg Furniture?s 80th anniversary year in May 2017, there was a drawing where one lucky customer won an $800 gift certificate to use at the store.
