A Little About Keith Albert and His Mission
Keith Albert serves as the Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of Rockland, an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, founded in 1994. Along with local support from the board of volunteer directors, the committees that work under their direction, their partners and local habitat homeowners, Keith is committed to eradicating substandard housing conditions in Rockland County. Habitat for Humanity of Rockland believes that people from all walks of life deserve a safe, comfortable and affordable place to call home.
Volunteering runs deep in Keith Albert?s soul as evidenced by years of volunteering since he was in grade school. As a resident of Rockland for the last 30 years, Keith saw that there was a need in the community and decided to put his talents to good use. Habitat for Humanity of Rockland has constructed seven new homes for families in Rockland since 1994. Their most recent projects include renovating a building at Homes for Heroes that is used as a conference center for veterans, creating wheelchair accessibility for a woman?s home after she became paralyzed, and most recently completing a home in Haverstraw which enabled a grateful family to experience the joy of home ownership in May 2017.
