A young stay-at-home mom has launched a new book, called Undercover Amish, about a woman who returns to the Amish community of her youth to solve a series of dark crimes as part of a covert police detectives unit. The book received 26 of 27 points at the Maine Romance Writers Strut Your Stuff competition in 2015.

Ashley Emma has a deep respect for the Amish and wanted to make sure her books were genuine, and as a result stayed with three Amish families when she was 20. It was here that she made many friends and did her research for the Amish book, which is the first in a series.

She owns Fearless Publishing House in Maine, where she lives with her husband and two children. Ashley is passionate about helping her clients to self-publish their own books, helping to encourage them into chasing their dreams of becoming a published author.

Undercover Amish tells the story of detective Olivia Mast, who would rather run through gunfire than return to the Amish community in Unity, Maine, where she was forced to kill her husband in self defense, and witnesses the murder of her family.

When an Amish man is murdered, the community refuses to pursue justice or answer questions from the police, Olivia must don her old prayer kapp and go back to investigate the murder as an undercover detective.

To complicate matters, she is also ordered to protect the man she dated as a teenager an Amish man who was attacked on the day of the murder, but can't remember what happened. He is the only one who can help Olivia solve the crimes because of his personal ties to the suspect, but only if they don't get distracted by their reignited feelings for each other.
