Runathon of Hope 2016? a Half Marathon organized by Rotary Club of Nigdi-Pune Charitable Trust; is all set to make its mark. This State Level event is in collaboration with and approved by the Maharashtra Athletic Association.

?Runathon of Hope 2016? is scheduled on Sunday, 31st January, 2016 at 6.30 am. The races will start from Bhakti Shakti Corner towards Rawet.

At the press conference Mrs. Ranu Singhania, President Rotary club of Nigdi-Pune said, ?The main objective of this event is to raise funds for various community based social service projects like infrastructure and facilities in villages related to water, sanitation, schools, literacy etc. The other areas are healthcare, empowerment of village youth and women.

Secretary Mr. Subhash Jaisinghani added ?We aim to execute a number of well-conceived, socially useful projects to bring about a sustainable and meaningful change and the funds raised via ?Runathon of Hope 2016? will enable the dream of ?Happy Village? come true.

The participants are from various walks of life, which include school children, college students, and executives from various industries. There will be about 9000 participants for various races like 21.2 km, 10 km, 5 km, 5 km corporate, 3 km, & 2km & the total prize money is Rs. 2,10,000.
