Pramanit Charitable Library and Education Centre was inaugurated by chief guest Shri Jyanendra Dabas , councillor, Rani Khera ward along with the Guest of Honor District Governor Rtn Sharat Jain and First Lady Ruchika Jain at 11 AM on Sunday.

?The focus area would be on library services, oral tuition classes, computer courses and other courses for the underprivileged staying in the neglected areas. Rotary Club has also planned to hold one free health check up camp every month at the same centre. The library is intended to provide free access of books for all students. The theme of our rotary club is ?Passion to Serve? and to support the aim and vision of our Hon?ble PM Shri Narendra Modi to ?make India Digital India?, this is a small initiative take by the members of the club? says Mr Brijesh Mathur, President of Rotary Club of Capital City New Delhi and Chairman of Pramanit Foundation

Mr Sharat Jain stated that ?it\'s the second big project of Rotary Club of Capital City New Delhi after their vocational service project at Malviya Nagar. The councillor Mr Jyanendra Dabas stated that ?our community of Rama Vihar will support the Pramanit Foundation and Rotary Club of Capital City New Delhi in its endeavour for the benefits of the community of Rama Vihar.

Rotary Club of Capital City with its experience of running the vocational centre at Malviya Nagar and holding the free health check up camps is a pre-assurance.

He further stated that since now the focus of Rotary is on Literacy, our this venture will really help the community of Rama Vihar and nearby areas in generating employment and having their focus on education.

Pramanit Charitable library is distinct as its mandate is to serve the general public?s information needs rather than any particular research centric or scholar population with repository of information. The existence of this library is often considered as an essential part of the society in having an educated and literate population.

?The education centre is open and free for all to encourage early literacy, quiet study environment and work area for students and professionals. General and social books will be a great source of knowledge build up for us with less course related books. Kids now a day have a more fascination towards digital learning and have forgotten the use of physical books. With the presence of this library, we as the adult citizens can also inspire students to read books. ? said Umesh Kumar Singh, one of the residents of the locality.

?There will be a complete set of exciting social and humanitarian activities this year in our Club. The theme of this Rotary year is \"SERVING HUMANITY\". We as club members must pledge to dedicate ourselves more too humanitarian services this year. We will make ourselves ready for humanity to rescue the poor and under-privileged. We engage in providing clean water where it is lacking, provide medical assistance to the needy, maternal and child care is our concern, basic education and literacy would be our one of the focus areas and we are all eager to do the projects which will enhance our club\'s image not only in our District but also in Rotary International.? Concluded the club president Mr Mathur
