Apis India wins accolades at 22nd APEDA Export Awards event

16th June 2017, Delhi: Apis India the leading producer, distributor and exporter of quality honey bagged the prestigious APEDA ?Bronze Trophy? for FY 2015-16 for outstanding export performance and contribution in the Natural Honey Sector. Mr. Deepak Anand, Chairman, Apis India Limited, received the coveted award from Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, Honourable Minister of State for Commerce & Industry, at an event in New Delhi on 12th June 2017

APEDA (Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority) is an apex body of the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India, that promotes the export of agricultural commodities and processed food products. In order to felicitate the exporters for their distinguished service in exports of Indian Agro and Processed Food, 82 awards were presented for the years 2014-15 and 2015-16 in the following categories: Diamond - 2 Gold ? 33, Silver ? 29, Bronze ? 18.

The Chief Guest at the event Ms. Rita Teaotia said that India has emerged as the 7th largest exporter of agri-products globally and it goes to the credit of exporters who even in these times of economic slowdown have continued to show growth. She also said that opportunities in newer markets have to be searched for further growth.

Commenting on the win, Mr. Deepak Anand, Chairman, Apis India said, ?Awards are recognition of our efforts and I am glad that the industry and the honorable jury members have recognized and lauded our hard work.
