Forest Gallery opens in Sussex

After 30 years operating in Guildford, Surrey, Forest Gallery Fine Art has moved to Petworth, West Sussex opening up a new gallery in the heart of the historic town.

The relaxed gallery space continues to impress visitors with a wide selection of contemporary and traditional artwork. The gallery features local artists as well as select international artists with over 300 artworks on display from more than 50 different artists.

With the focus firmly on original paintings, something that Forest Gallery is known for, the aim is to showcase the multitude of talented artists which the UK has to offer as well as some European artists.

The opening exhibition took place in November 2016 after three months of preparing the new gallery space and was well attended. The gallery displays a rotating array of artwork covering traditional landscapes, abstract artwork, contemporary beach scenes and landscapes as well as still life paintings and less conventional naive contemporary work.

Popular artists such as Alan Smith, Sean Durkin and Michael Claxton have solidified the galleries growing collection of work alongside strong Forest Gallery favourites from the Guildford gallery such as Gerhard Nesvadba, Erich Paulsen and Raymond Campbell.

The gallery is open Tuesday through to Saturday (10-5) and Sundays (11-4). Contact the gallery for private viewings outside of these times.
