FSSAI warned states to run special drive to regulate the use of banned performance – enhancing drugs

New Delhi: To improve the performance of the athletic output, sports person consumed health supplements and this artificial enhancement of the performance called Doping. Many of the supplements are banned in India to stop doping. India is at the third number in doping violation cases.

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) analyzed the Indian youth are very prone to use health supplements and the misuse of banned performance enhancing supplements can be possible. To stop greedy manufacturers to add performance enhancing drugs and other banned substances in health supplements, FSSAI wrote to the States to actively analyze the manufacturing of the health supplements units. To make them aware of the drugs, FSSAI also sent them a list of banned drugs.
