11 Year Old Atlanta Based Author Heads Off To Duke University To Participate In One Week Summer Program While Releasing Positive Journal For Girls

Atlanta,Georgia ? June 10, 2017: Shalyn Vanderhorst, an 11-year-old Atlanta girl has been rewarded for her outstanding academic record. In 2017 alone, she has been the head of the student council, student of the month four times, and ?athlete of the month twice. She even lead the student address for her 5th grade graduation. ?Shalyn has been affiliated with Duke University?s TIP program since the age of 9, has some of the highest test scores in the country and will be attending Duke University?s prestigious summer program, which is only offered to star students, for a week in June 2017. ?I have worked so hard and I am so excited to have been chosen. This is an amazing accomplishment,? Shalyn says.

Shalyn is also an avid reader and writer and is ?thrilled to announce the release of her journal entitled the ?Chase Your Dreams Journal? for her new Doll and book company known as Suite Dream Dollz. She owns the business with her 20-year-old sister, Shanya. The Suite Dream Dollz ?are five-goal minded courageous girls determined to chase their Suite Dream. The first release is a journal which includes pages for writing and journaling. It also has fun activities and affirmations to inspire and teach girls how to love themselves. ?Shalyn?s mom, Shannon has taught her girls that having good self confidence and believing in themselves will take them far. Shalyn has definitely ?taken that to heart!
