109 students graduated at the glittering 10th Annual Convocation ceremony at Jaipuria, Jaipur

Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur organized its 10th Annual Convocation ceremony in great style on the 20th of May. The Convocation Day is one of the most important days of student life and the institute had left no stone unturned to ensure that it was a truly special one for its new graduates. Mr. Narendra K Verma, MD & CEO, ONGC Videsh Ltd was the Chief Guest for the ceremony.
The day was blessed by Shri Kalyan Singh, Honorable Governor of Rajasthan, who could not be present but had sent a touching note where he wished the institute and its graduates the best. They were beaming from ear to ear as their hard work through the course of two years had paid off. They had a spring in their step as they made their way to the auditorium in the Academic Procession with their loved ones cheering them on.
Traditional lighting of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana started the proceedings of the day. Shri Sharad Jaipuria Chairman, Jaipuria Institute of Management then declared the Convocation ceremony open. In his welcome address he quoted Swami Vivekananda, Barack Obama and PM Narendra Modi to inspire the gathering. ?I truly believe that each of us have infinite potential. Your journey from here is all about having an idea for what you want your life to be,? he said.
It was then up to Dr. Prabhat Pankaj, Director, Jaipuria, Jaipur to deliver the Annual Report. He talked about the growth of the institute in the recent years, in terms of rankings and the prestigious accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation. He also focused on the four pillars of Jaipuria-Jaipur edifice as he urged the new graduates to carry forward the legacy of the institute and be its glorious ambassadors.
Meritorious students received medals as a form of recognition for their achievements. The medal winners of 2017 Batch include Ms. Tejveer Kaur who was awarded Chairman?s Gold Medal, Ms. Jalpa Ramnani was awarded Vice- Chairman?s Silver Medal and the Director?s Bronze Medal was awarded to Ms. Shobhana Tiwari.
Awards in the categories of discipline toppers were given to Ms. Shobhana Tiwari in Marketing, Ms. Tejveer Kaur in Finance Discipline, Ms. Tejveer Kaur in the Human Resource Management discipline and Mr. Singh Pritam RamAsre in IT & Operations Discipline.
Mr. Narendra K Verma then took to the stage for the Convocation Address. He struck an emotional chord as he said, ?I am sure that each one of you has different dreams but surely you should never give up your dreams and aspirations, for it is those aspirations that will drive you to higher levels of achievements and make your life purposeful.?
The new graduates will try and emulate the success of their alumni, several of whom were present in the gathering. Mr. Sandeep Agarwal was given the Best Alumni Award on the occasion. Dr. Swati Soni, Dr. Babita Jha and Dr. Nidhi Vashishth won the Best Faculty Awards for their excellent performance and overall contribution. As the ceremony approached its end, Shri Shreevats Jaipuria, Vice Chairman offered Vote of Thanks. He made a thoughtful and crucial point as he said, ?We are young today, and we must remain young in spirit always.?
It was a poignant thought for the gathering, especially the new graduates to ponder upon as they left the auditorium with the Academic procession. Jaipuria, Jaipur has not only given them diplomas that will lead to exciting career opportunities but also shaped their young minds. Their youthful exuberance was on display as they posed for pictures with their batch mates as the day?s ceremony had left them with big smiles on their faces.
