Dr Maria Husain joins Lasercare Eye Center

Dr. Maria Husain is an comprehensive Ophthalmologist, who is also an experienced LASIK and Cataract surgeon. She comes to LaserCare Eye Center after working in private practice in San Antonio.
Dr. Husain obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. She graduated Magna Cum Laude. During her time in college, she did an international exchange program at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. She completed her M.D. degree at the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa. She served as President of her Medical School Class. Her Medical internship and Ophthalmology residency were completed at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.

She provides a wide range of Eye care services including Comprehensive Eye exams, Cataract surgery, Intravitreal injections for Macular Degeneration and Diabetic Retinopathy, Laser treatments for Glaucoma and Diabetes and Pterygium surgery. She believes in presenting eye findings in an understandable manner, so patients can be their own best advocates.
