LIVE RELAY of ROBOTIC SURGERY by Dr. Donald John Babu at MGM Hospital, Robotic Center, Vashi

Navi Mumbai: Dr. Donald John Babu will be doing ?LIVE RELAY of ROBOTIC SURGERY? being performed at MGM Hospital, Robotic Center, Vashi on 25th April, 2017 from 8 am to 5 pm. The Live Relay will be subject to Robotic Cyto-reductive Surgery for Ovarian Cancer which will highlight on Staging Lap, Hysterectomy, Supracolic Omentectomy, Peritoneal Biopsy and Ascitic Fluid Cytology.

Dr. Donald John Babu, Program Director - Robotic Surgery at MGM Hopsital and Consultant in the Department of Surgical Oncology at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital, Vashi, Navi Mumbai is conducting a LIVE Relay of \'Robotic Surgery\' at MGM Hosiptal Vashi on 25 April 2017 from 08:00 A.M to 05:00 p.m.
The Robotic Cyto-reductive Surgery for ovarian cancer is being performed by Dr. Donald John Babu on two residents of Navi Mumbai for Stage I and Stage II ovarian cancer.

Case One is a 56 year old lady, an NRI from U.S.A, she has been detected with a Stage I Ovarian cancer and is being operated at MGM Hosptal, Vashi on April 25, 2017. The teams of doctors are performing Robotioc Surgey which will have a small incision placed and specimen after surgery will be removed vaginally. The robotic surgery hence has no incision, minimal blood loss, patient can eat food the same day and go home after 2 days, quick recovery and no pain over incision and moreover aesthetically appealing. As against operating an incision is more time consuming, more blood loss, and aesthetically is not appealing, there is more pain on the abdomen and oral food starts after 2 days and the days of admission in the hospital will be 5-7 days, adds Dr. Donald John Babu.
