Five stalwarts to receive the honour at Manav Rachna Educational Institutions Excellence Award

Faridabad, April 1st, 2017: To mark the 70th birthday anniversary of its visionary founder, Dr. OP Bhalla, Manav Rachna Educational Institutions has instituted the Manav Rachna Excellence Award to be given to industry leaders for exemplary work and contribution in their respective fields.

The first edition of the Award is to be held on Sunday April 2, 2017. The high-profile award ceremony will be presided over by Shri Kaptan Singh Solanki, Governor of Haryana. He will present the awards to this year?s winners? five luminaries, each an icon of excellence in his/her field.

The five stalwarts to be honoured at the function are Shri Rajan Nanda, Chairman & MD Escorts Group (who will be given a Lifetime Achievement Award); Shri R.C. Bhargava, Chairman, Maruti Suzuki (award for Nation Building); Shri Dinesh Kumar Sarraf, Chairman & MD, ONGC (award for Corporate & Industry); Ms Shradha Suri, MD, Subros Group (for Young Leader); and Ms. Pusarla Venkata Sindhu, Badminton champion (for her exemplary contribution as ? Sports Icon of India?).

The awardees were selected by a research committee headed by Padma Shri Dr. Pritam Singh, in presence of Mr. S K Roongta (former Chairman Steel Authority of India); Mr. S Y Siddiqui, Chief Mentor, Maruti Suzuki; Prof Dr. Anand Prakash, Dean International Relations, Humanities and Social Sciences, Delhi University; Dr. Umesh Rai, Professor, Department of Zoology, Delhi University; and Dr Sanjay Srivastava, MD, Manav Rachna Educational Institutions.
