Self-administered tests have grown in popularity as medical technology that increases their accuracy has been developed. Prestigious medical bodies such as the FDA and the NHS have recently approved HIV self-test kits, allowing people to diagnose this condition without consulting a doctor.
One of the most important issues with traditional HIV tests is that many people refuse to contact their doctor, usually for privacy reasons.
