The framework of this collection is based upon three distinct design inspiration ? The Antique Frames Collection, The Chikankari Collection, and The Abstract Art Collection.

For the Antique Frames collection, Tahiliani has given new-age expressions to Mughal miniatures. The designs from the collection are based on borders inspired from miniature paintings of northern India that are capsules of history, romance and folklore. Captured within the symmetry of frames and borders, the collection showcases garden motifs and gold-tinted Persian scripts, highlighted against backdrops of royal blue, rich burgundy and verdant green.

As the name suggests, the Antique Frames collection, brings forth Tahiliani?s contemporary vision of distressed weaves, antiquated washes and distorted symmetry. Rendered as minimalist carpets, each piece is a nod to India?s glorious history and heritage.

The collection reflects quintessentially Indian motifs and craftsmanship and is finished with a distressed look to reflect the patina of that era. Woven in 60 percent silk and 40 percent wool, each rug encapsulates the mood and the rich color pallete celebrating lively Indian tones.

The collection is a reminder of the simplicity and beauty that holds around miniature paintings that make these rugs truly unique.
