About Project Possible
Project Possible was founded in September 2015 by a group of concerned Rockland County residents who decided to take action by improving the quality of life for local ?special needs? children. Project Possible is a unique non-profit organization that is paving the way in Rockland County by providing special needs children with non-reimbursable, and critically essential, medical equipment. They are are mark able organization that takes pride in sponsoring local children by raising funds on their behalf in many ways. The funds raised are used to purchase necessary equipment such as walkers, wheelchairs, shower chairs, hearing aids, orthotics, and hospital beds and cribs. All of the board members at Project Possible have worked with special needs children in the past. They fully understand the importance of specialized equipment as a key factor in enhancing a child?s quality of life. Their dedicated board members are proud to be a part of Rockland County?s family of organizations, such as Jawonio, BOCES, ARC and Camp Venture, who do an inspirational and compassionate job of improving the lives of the special needs population. Their goal is to continue this tradition and help Rockland County?s special needs children in even more ways.
In the spring of 2016, Project Possible donated a much needed wheelchair accessible swing to Stony Point?s Lowland Park. Their goal was to aid children who utilize wheelchairs in feeling more included in the community when visiting the park. Their volunteers consider themselves fortunate to be part of an organization that serves so many, and enables special needs children to reach their full potential.
