The sci-fi action-drama genre has witnessed many big and small movies coming through the years. The 2016 movie ?The Lucky Man? is a quasi-religious cum con genre pushing into the action-drama and sci-fi genre.

This indie film has released on 15th October, 2016, and shows how much the human mind can endure and still try to change itself and its existence when it finds the chance. It skillfully blends the ideas of miracles, tragic experiences and humor in theft and con jobs to create a perfect experience that entertains the audience.
The Lucky Man (2016) is about a young charismatic preacher who along with his seductive Latina girlfriend, Rebecca, cons churches present in small towns. He convinces people of having the ability to heal ailments and solve the most horrible experiences of their lives. His turbulent childhood, years of substance abuse and inner demons finally make him come across experiences where his powers prove to be a curse as well as a blessing. He finds that the fraud healing abilities that he tried to portray as real actually becomes real.
The stars have acted wonderfully, and the direction is skilful, subtle and tight. Norman Gregory McGuire, who is both the writer and director, has kept everything in a tight grip and the flow is even all through. For people who love con movies and the subjects of theology and faith, this indie film can be a good and entertaining watch.
