Local Pittsburgh Mentoring Program Offers Free CDL Classes to Students

Turning Corners Mentoring Association has launched a free mentorship program to teach and empower young people with the tools they need to succeed and reach their full potential. The year-round program is open youth between the ages of 12 to 18 within the greater Pittsburgh area and some surrounding counties.Turning Corners Mentoring Association is a non for profit 501c3 organization based out of Pittsburgh, PA.
Students and participants in the mentoring program get to participate in workshops, speaking engagements, field trips, educational courses and so much more. Turning Corners takes the time to help students prepare for real world experiences by offering GED Prep, CDL (Commercial Driving License) courses and various other after school programs. Turning Corners Mentoring Association will be officially launching their interactive website on Wednesday, February 1, 2017.
The new Turner Corners Mentoring Association web address is www.TurningConers.org, the interactive website features information about the Mentoring Program, Volunteer Opportunities, Sponsorship Opportunities, Events & Activities along with a host of links to local community resources. Students can sign up for FREE CDL classes (must be 21 and over) or they can get information about some of the other programs that Turning Corners has to offer.

Classes are held Tues & Thurs from 5pm - 8pm and Saturdays from 9am - 1pm. Turning Corners Mentoring Association CDL Certification Program is located at 100 Fifth Avenue, Suite 514, Pittsburgh, PA, 15222. Students can signup at www.turningcorners.org, there is no cost to get signed up and there is absolutely no cost or fees to students.

The mission of Turning Corners is, "create a group of strong and remarkable individuals who come together and share their time and experiences with under served youth. To date Turning Corners has assisted in helping several at risked youth find steady employment and helped many more become productive members of society. Research shows that a great number of young people doubt that they can achieve their goals, because they are unmotivated, unable to make positive decisions, and lack purpose.
