Shalimar India famous for its Coconut Oil is doing a Social Activity for a Noble Cause this Durga Puja 2016 in Kolkata

West Bengal, Kolkata, 12th Sep 2016: Shalimar India ? famous for its Coconut Oil and Spices ( in India, is celebrating Durga Pooja with a social Campaign , ?Shalimar Samaj Kalyan Samman.? It was initiated in the Year 2002, It all began when the chairman thought of creating a campaign with substance and truth rather than just a small marketing gimmick. Post then it became a tradition and are celebrated every year.
The main Idea of the campaign is to give recognition to the social service work rendered by puja committees for the society rather than just decorating the pandals. Post these campaigns in 2002 lots of pooja committee have started allocating funds to participate in this noble cause.
The event will invite participation from around 300 puja committees from the areas of Kolkata, Salt Lake and Howrah. A panel of eminent judges - Mr. Gautam Ghosh (Film Director), Mr. Samares Majumder (writer), Mr. Dibyendu Barua (Chess Grandmaster) , Mr. SANDHI MUKHERJEE (Ex. IPS) , Mr. D. Ashis (Social Activist) will finally choose 10 committees for the final round during Panchami or Sasthi and give away the prizes after the pooja ends.
Shalimar is already a big brand with celebrities like Hema Malini & Konkana Sen endorsing it. Durga Pooja being one of the biggest festival of West Bengal Shalimar social campaign is icing on the cake , seeding a plant of trust and believe in its products.
