Prairie City RV Center Now Offers the “Ultimate 5th Wheel Connection”

Prairie City RV Center now offers the Andersen Hitches branded ?Aluminum Ultimate 5th Wheel Connection? for residents in the Folsom area. It is available in two versions ? the Rail Mount and the Gooseneck Mount. The Rail Mount type is recommended for use with industry standard rails in both long bed and short bed trucks. The Gooseneck Mount, on the other hand, can be used with all gooseneck hitch balls.
The device is designed for simplicity, robustness and strength in order to give users a smooth and quiet ride. Another highlight of this particular product is its easy installation. Both mounts can be set and taken off in just 1-3 minutes, all by just one person. The ball of the 5th Wheel Connection rides inside a greaseless coupler, which affords users the luxury of avoiding dirty hands and messes on the road. This ball combined with an adjustable height of 3 inches allows for swiveling in every direction as well as the ability to couple and uncouple even on uneven terrain.
The Ultimate 5th Wheel Connection is made of aluminum, which explains its lightweight build. Dubbed as one of the lightest 5th wheel hitches on the market, weighing approximately 30 pounds (40 lbs for the Rail Mount and 70 lbs for the Gooseneck Mount), this device is also incredibly durable. Andersen Hitches put this to the test by conducting a crash test using a 6-inch hydraulic ram, withstanding up to 55,000 pounds of pressure. That?s roughly the combined weight of five 40-foot triple axel trailers.
The crash test video also aimed to show just how tough the Ultimate 5th Wheel Connection is by hooking up a 4x4 truck to a trailer and driving down the highway at 65 mph. The footage also showed just how simple it is to install the 5th wheel hitch by showing a young girl loosening the bolts.
