Collins India brings the popular SCRABBLE™ championship to schools in India

SCRABBLE? championship will offer winners chance to represent India in France
New Delhi, 27th June 2016: Collins India, the fastest growing K-12 publisher of textbooks for the CBSE, ICSE and state board curriculum in Indian schools, has launched the popular School SCRABBLE? championship program in India, in association with Mindsports Academy. The championship which is open to schools initially across three cities will offer winners a chance to represent India at the World Youth Scrabble Championships in Lille, France in the month of August 2016.
The regional level championships will be held in Chandigarh, Hyderabad and Pune between 10th to 20th July. Schools from these cities will first sign up on the Mindsports Academy website to take part in the competition. The registered schools will then setup SCRABBLE? clubs in their schools for interested students, aged between 8 to 12 years. These clubs would then initiate the tournament within the school and Collins India as well as Mindsports Academy will assist the school authorities in scoring the games, recording the results and judging the winners.
Regional finalists from each city will represent India at the World Youth Scrabble Championships, Lille, France to be held in August 2016. The National Championship will also be held at the venue in Lille.
