Darmstadt/New Delhi, February 5th. TrelleborgVibracoustic, the world market leader in automotive vibration control technology is presenting highlights from its product portfolio for the Indian automotive industry at the Auto Expo Components New Delhi, taking place from February 4th-7th in Hall No 18GF, booth no. 36.


TrelleborgVibracoustic presents a broad product portfolio at Auto Expo Components New Delhi. Enhanced materials, product design, process and testing technologies enable the company to introduce new technologies for the Indian market. TrelleborgVibracoustic products, such as engine mounts, chassis mounts, as well as isolators and dampers, help to increase comfort, safety and durability and contribute to light-weight and cost-efficient powertrain and chassis systems. In the field of engine mount systems, the company will present semi-active hydro mounts, modular designs, and light-weight solutions using aluminium and plastic instead of metal. One example are engine mounts with a thermoplastic housing. In comparison to steel, they are 40% lighter with respect to same technical specifications.

In addition, the company showcases innovative anti-vibration solutions for chassis systems such as light-weight solutions made of aluminium or plastic, hydro bushes, dual-rubber bushes or dual-path strut mounts. They protect the vehicle from the sudden shock input caused by driving over bumps, obstacles and pot-holes. With dual-path strut mounts, two force paths can be tuned separately. They perform a damping function and are essential for vehicle stability and road holding. The strut mount and spring seat also help isolating noises such as road noise. The rubber preload is reduced and a smaller design becomes possible. In addition, the rubber can be made quite soft for good isolation of damper vibrations. In many cases, the top-mount housing can also be used for the reinforcement of the body structure.
