Teens Initiated Project for Economically Weaker Students

With the purpose of aiding underprivileged children, a Ranchi based teenager along with two of his American teenager friends initiated a project to overcome the financial constraints of several students.

The trio, while their trip to Bihar and Jharkhand, noticed several poor children who were unable to pursue their dreams because of not being financially stable. Having the willingness to transform the society, the young students Abhishek Kumar (17), Anmol (15), and Pranjal Sharma (14) joined hands together to give rise to a unique foundation named as 'WEKUGA'.

The trio have launched a website www.wekuga.org as their initial step to support million dreams. The event took place in Ranchi on 26th July 2015, and the former Chief Minister of Jharkhand 'Shri. Arjun Munda' inaugurated the event at his Ranchi residence. Shri. Arjun Munda also praised the three youngsters for initiating an applaudable act at such a young age. He also gave his wishes to the trio for successful future venture with the hope of adding value to several students' lives.

It was a low key event which was attended by various political leaders, former IAS officers Mukhtyar Singh and JB Tubid , Chairman of JAC Anand Bhushan, mayor Asha Lakra, and Deputy Mayor Sanjeev Vijayvargiya among others.

The threesome managed campaign funding by saving their pocket money. They also arranged the funds by other part time jobs. With the initial fund of 3000 dollars, they chose 3 children from Ranchi to meet their educational requirements.

The Wekuga foundation basically aims to reach out several impoverished sections of the society. The trio is now looking forward to a fund raising programme in order to support the dreams of numerous children.

The trio also assures great future perspectives, and they endeavor to expand it across the globe in order to reach economically deprived students located at every corner of the world.
