Kamdhenu Jeevandhara- CSR wing of Kamdhenu Ispat Ltd. Support Rural Education Program

Kamdhenu Group, under its Rural Education Program, Sponsors a school ?Rajkiya Prathmik Vidyalaya Bhudali, located in the rural interior of Alwar district in Rajasthan as part of Company?s various CSR activities. Rolling out through Kamdhenu Jeevan Dhara, a body of Kamdhenu responsible to look after the Company?s CSR activities, the Rural Education Programof the group is aimed to support the education of underprivileged students in the rural India from primary to higher levelsand thus contributeto the holistic development of these school going children.

Under the program, Kamdhenu has been providing study material and other stationary items to the children from underprivileged families attending different Government run Schools. The latest activities in the Rajkiya Prathmik Vidyalaya Bhudali is the part of the same process where study material consisting of text books, notebooks, geometry box, pencils, pens, and school uniforms, clothes, shoes, school bags and lunch boxes were given to all the students.Aligning with the vision of Swachchh Bharat Abhiyan, the fund is also given for the completion of toilets for the students and repair of the defunct hand-pump as well as for some essential furniture of the school.

Mrs. Radha Aggarwal (Chairperson - Kamdhenu Jeevan Dhara), said ?Such initiatives were conceived for catering to the immediate educational needs of the students from the needy sections of the society.In actuality this is the entry point activity with the students of ?Rajkiya Prathmik Vidyalaya Bhudali and there will a number of measures be taken by us to ensure that all the student will complete the study and go for higher studies without any drop out.?

So far such support was provided to about 70-80 students studying in the primary level in response tothe scarcity of study materials and school dresses for the students. The availability of these items would help the students in continuing their education in a better way.

Pinpointing the Company?s emphasis in the field of education, Mrs. Radha Aggarwal (Chairperson - Kamdhenu Jeevan Dhara) added, ?Kamdhenu Group believes that education is one of the best routes that lead to the self-reliance and help in bridging gaps in the society.With the objective to undertake CSR which will yield discernible, long-term, sustainable benefits for the communities and society at large, the group gives priority to the education program.?
